Rigging swivels like these are very handy for proper load positioning. They help prevent unnecessary twisting and binding of slings and attachments, which in turns helps you get the most out of your rigging (Working Load Limits decrease as slings are twisted, kinked or otherwise fouled). Keep in mind that some swivels do not have bushings or bearings and they are not intended to swivel under load. Other swivels–like our wide selection of thrust bearing swivels–do swivel under load. Make sure you buy the right swivel, because putting a common forged swivel without bearings at the end of your crane line can affect you negatively in the long run.
